I'm starting a project, "Putting People In Their Place", that I've had on the back burner for a while now. The reason behind the name is that I feel this area has a handful of people that make this city what it is. I want to shoot a good, tight portrait of them, and then a few nice environmental shots of them in their "place". There are several people on my "hit list" that I want to include in this project. One of them is Luke Tweedy.

He is the owner of Flat Black Studios in Iowa City. He's been at it for a long time and he knows a thing or two about good sound, as is evident by his hectic schedule recording bands at a rate of about eight days per week.

I got to work with him today and it was really a pleasure. He's got about a thousand irons in the fire, and more stuff on the horizon. I see him around Iowa City a lot, mostly at the local coffee shop, Wake Up Iowa City.

Aside from being the premier recording studio in Iowa City he also creates amazing sculpture which will be on display at the local DIY shop, White Rabbit, beginning in March.
